Greg Nuckols
Greg provides educational support for our coaches and consistently checks in with clients to ensure that everything about their experience is top-notch.
Greg is the founder of Stronger By Science. He has an M.A. in exercise physiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He’s held three all-time world records in powerlifting in the 220lb and 242lb classes and has coached hundreds of athletes both in-person and online.
Coaches
All Stronger By Science coaches were hand-selected based on a strong history of producing results for clients. They’ve got some fancy degrees and years of experience as athletes themselves to boot.
Our coaches have experience competing in powerlifting (including a couple all-time world records), bodybuilding, and Strongman.
They have worked as Division I Strength and Conditioning coaches, researchers, in-person personal trainers for hundreds of clients, sports nutritionists, exercise science professors, and more.
Lauren is currently pursuing a PhD in Integrative Physiology at McMaster University. Her research focuses on the impact of exercise, nutrition, and hormones on skeletal muscle. Lauren has worked with hundreds of clients in person and online, including recreational lifters, moms-to-be, and aspiring powerlifters and physique athletes. Read more about Lauren here.
Pak did his PhD in Sports Science at Solent University (UK) on the topic of “the minimum effective training dose for strength.” As a researcher, his research focuses on muscle strength, hypertrophy, and strength & physique sports. Pak has worked for over 5 years with physique athletes, strength athletes, and recreationally active individuals looking to get stronger and improve their body composition. Read more about Pak here.
Jason has a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine and works with hundreds of athletes every year to navigate their current states to return to (and thrive in) their respective sports. Jason is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and USA Weightlifting Level 1 coach who acts as the strength coach for a local national-level swim club year-round. Steven is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and has a Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences. He played football at the University of Missouri from 2010-3 and is now just another “retired college athlete”. He’s been a personal trainer for 6 years. Steven has worked with a variety of clients but mostly enjoys recreational lifters. Read more about Steven here.
Milo is currently pursuing his PhD on “the effects of range of motion on muscle hypertrophy in strength.” His research focuses on muscle hypertrophy and strength. Milo has guided individuals in their journey of getting bigger, stronger, and leaner for more than 4 years. Colby is currently pursuing a PhD in Sport and Exercise Science at Auckland University of Technology. He is involved with research regarding muscular strength and hypertrophy, and has 5+ years of personal training experience – both in-person and online – for training and nutrition. Colby has competed in powerlifting and plans to compete in bodybuilding in the future. Read more about Colby here.
Dale has an MS degree in Kinesiology from Texas Tech University and a BA in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has a diverse background in the health and fitness industry. He has coached high school wrestling, worked as a physical therapist aid, conducted and published research, and has worked as a personal trainer and online coach for over 7 years. Jacob is a registered dietitian and has an MS degree in Kinesiology from Texas Tech University. Jacob’s formal education and personal experience around nutrition and training allow him to cater to client’s personalized needs, while also building rapport and providing support along the way. Adam has 8 years of personal training experience, including 6 years of working as an online coach and 4 years of working for SBS. Adam has over 12 years of lifting experience, including competitive bodybuilding, powerlifting, and running. Read more about Adam here.
Aaron has a Master’s in Sports Performance and Coaching and has worked with NFL players, CFL players, collegiate athletes, and lifters and physique athletes. He’s been a personal trainer and performance coach for 8+ years and has been training clients online for 5 years. Read more about Aaron here.

Comprehensive coaching is exactly what it sounds like. Your coach handles virtually all aspects of coaching that support your success.
Price: $249/month OR $2499/year (paid upfront)
Whether your goal is fat loss, muscle gain, enhanced sport performance, or all three, nutrition plays a big role in your success. Our coaches provide ongoing, evidence-based sport nutrition services to support your performance and body composition goals.
We refer clients with more intensive nutrition needs to work directly with one of our team’s Registered Dietitians, who also provide sport nutrition oversight for our team when necessary. (Please note: Our coaches operate within their scope of practice and do not practice dietetics, medical nutrition therapy, or provide any medical advice or health-related counseling.)

A video call consultation is a one-time, one-hour, one-on-one conversation with a member of our team. You can use this hour however you’d like to ensure that you get the information you need to support your goals and future success.
Price: $149 one time
We’ll ask you about your goals and training history. The application contains about 20 questions.
The SBS coaching team will review your application, and you’ll be matched with the perfect coach to support your goals.
Your new coach will contact you promptly to answer any questions, finalize the process, and get started with your programming.
Our coaches have worked with all types of clients including (but not limited to): powerlifters, bodybuilders, physique competitors, military, police, CrossFit athletes, concurrent-training athletes, team sports athletes, and general population looking to improve their overall levels of fitness and performance and lose fat.
When you apply, we’ll match you with the perfect coach for you and your goals.
The frequency of check-ins is determined between the coach and client, but we generally encourage clients to check in as frequently as they see fit.
Communication is done primarily through email, shared documents, and other applications as needed. If the client feels they need a more detailed answer to a question or want to discuss a topic, phone calls and Skype/video chats are also welcome.
