About Dyna

Beyond my professional experiences, qualifications, and interests, the foundation of my work lies in my own journey (in my field, we call this concept “expert by experience”).

I started lifting 6+ years ago and, although you’ve heard this many times before, it really did change my life. However, my journey to becoming an evidence-BASED lifter was certainly not a straightforward one.

I’ve trained as a powerlifter, as a bodybuilder, and as a power-builder. I’ve tried high/low volume programming and high/low frequency programming. I’ve trained to failure (SBS template style. If you know, you know). And I’ve walked away from the leg extension machine while I clearly still had 10 more reps in me (don’t tell Tom Platz). I’ve cut and I’ve bulked, I’ve tracked and I’ve eaten intuitively. I’ve progressed and I’ve plateaued. I’ve skipped sessions and I’ve been consistent for months on end. I have felt frustration and disappointment (shoutout to the 1RMs that never came to be), and I’ve felt pride and joy in myself. My long-winded point is that I’ve seen every part of the journey from beginner to advanced to professional, and that journey would not have been the same without the coaches I’ve had supporting me over the years. That’s where my passion comes from.
